What is a Balcony Solar System?

XRSOLAR Balcony solar system can reduce apartment dwellers’ power bills. It’s comprised of solar panels, cables, an inverter, and smart plugs.

It plugs directly into electrical outlets, and no installation is necessary. Plus, it comes with flat cables, so you don’t have to drill holes to run wires between the indoors and the outdoors.

Balcony solar panels are typically designed to be smaller, lightweight, and aesthetically pleasing to fit seamlessly into the urban environment. There are two main types of solar panels used in balcony solar systems.

 Rigid Solar Panels:

These are the traditional solar panels are made from monocrystalline cells, glass, and an aluminum frame. They are highly efficient and robust, making them ideal for long-term installations. The monocrystalline cells provide high efficiency, while the glass protects the cells from the elements, and the aluminum frame adds durability and structural integrity.

Flexible Solar Panels:

On the other hand, made from Mono solar cells and ETFE Film.  These panels are lightweight, bendable, and can be easily installed on curved or uneven surfaces. Flexible solar panels are ideal for balconies with limited space or unique architectural features.

Micro-Inverter or Power Optimizer

These devices are crucial for converting the direct current (DC) electricity generated by the solar panels into alternating current (AC) electricity, which can be used by household appliances or fed back into the grid. Micro-inverters are usually attached to each panel, optimizing performance and ensuring efficiency even if one panel is shaded.

Mounting Equipment

This includes brackets, clamps, and other hardware needed to securely attach the solar panels to the balcony railing or wall. The mounting system is designed to be durable and weather-resistant, ensuring the panels remain securely in place while maximizing exposure to sunlight.

Cabling and Connectors

High-quality cables and connectors are essential for safely transmitting electricity from the solar panels to the inverter and then to your home’s electrical system. They are designed to be robust and weather-resistant to ensure long-term reliability.
